Nelle gara maschile il team la Sportiva, main sponsor dell’evento schiererà le sue punte di diamante con il preciso intento di staccare il migliore piazzamento possibile. Se nella vertical di venerdì i riflettori saranno tutti per “le roi” della specialità Urban Zemmer, domenica attenzione al rumeno Ionut Zinca in forze alla Valetudo Skyrunning Italia. Uno che su questo percorso potrebbe davvero mettere alle corde il fenomeno catalano Kilian Jornet    

Domenica la finale  World Series 2013 si correrà su 23.5km di vero skyrunning con un dislivello di 2000m.  Il tutto con una dura salita iniziale, un muscolare saliscendi in quota e una picchiata tecnica verso il traguardo. Come tipologia questa gara si addice alle tue caratteristiche e come pensi di interpretarla?

E  una  gara  che  si adatta alle mie caratteristiche , una gara di 2h poco più, ma con una salita  iniziale molto difficile. Cercherò di tenere duro  e dare il massimo per staccare il migliore piazzamento possibile. So che non sarà facile visto l’elevatissimo livello della concorrenza, ma bisognerà assolutamente provarci. Ho visto le foto e i video dello scorso anno. E’ giusto definire questa gara “vero skyrunning”. Infatti è molto tecnica, difficile da interpretare e chi partirà forte potrebbe anche pagare dazio sui saliscendi che precedono la picchiata verso Limone 

Limone Extreme. Skyrunning vero, dunque, in una location turistica con una tre giorni dedicata agli sport outdoor che strizza l'occhio ai media. Quanto è importante tutto ciò per la crescita del movimento e per voi atleti?

Sarà un fine settimana molto intenso per tutti. Per quanto mi riguarda, guarderò e tiferò gli altri venerdì concentrandomi solo sulla prova di domenica. Così sarà più facile per me che, quest’anno non  ho fatto   molti Vertical Kilometer. Per il pubblico sarà una grande opportunità di vedere molti corridori di alto livello e per noi una vetrina senza eguali. Questo tipo di corse attirano molte appassionati e solleticano l’attenzione dei media e degli sponsor. Penso che ci vorrebbero più gare o fine settimana come questo. Per noi e per il movimento sono il top. Ah, ovviamente, in futuro prometto di arrivare a fare entrambe le prove. In questo devo migliorarmi, ma quest'anno è stato duro e il mio corpo non mi permette di correre due gare in soli due giorni.  

Al via del Vertical Kilometer e della SkyRace di Limone tutti i big della stagione con un super favorito d'obbligo: Kilian Jornet. Lo ritieni imbattibile o su questi tipi di gare si può ancora sperare di salire sul gradino più alto?

Basta guardare i risultati che ha fatto  quest'anno (senza togliere meriti ad  altri, ma solo se guardiamo a quello che ha fatto in questa stagione), ci renderemo conto che  è imbattibile! Non posso parlare per gli altri atleti, io parlo per me stesso… Cercherò di dare il 100% di quello che posso. A  Stava  quest'anno erano neanche due settimane che correvo e, in linea di partenza, il pensiero fisso era  di fare una buona gara  dando battaglia dall’inizio alla fine. La stessa cosa ho fatto al Giir di Mont e la stessa cosa farò a Limone. Ho intenzione di dare il 100% di quello che posso a questo punto della stagione. Penso che Kilian Jornet sia il favorito, ma spero  che Luis  Alberto verrà per dare il meglio, così gli atleti  italiani che, quest'anno, hanno davvero un buon livello.

It get's higher the fever for the final in the world of skyrunning. That challenge this weekend will be the best in the world in the specialty Vertical Kilometer by night on Friday and Sunday, on the 23.5km SkyRace. To be won are the titles in 2013 and the awareness of being No. 1 in the world.

In the men's race the team Sportiva, the main sponsor of the event line up the jewels in its crown with the specific intent to disconnect the best finish possible. If the vertical Friday, the spotlight will be all for "le roi" of the vertical Urban Zemmer, Sundays attention will be to the Romanian Ionut Zinca. One who, on this route, could really put on the ropes the phenomenon Catalan Kilian Jornet.

Sunday's final World Series 2013 will run on 23.5km of true skyrunning with a vertical drop of 2000m . All with a hard initial climb, a muscular up and down in altitude and  a tecnical nosedive to the finish line .

How to type this race suits your features and how do you interpret it ?

Its a race that suits my characteristics , a race of just over 2 hours , but with an initial climb very difficult. I'll try to hold on and give my best to unplug the best finish possible. I know it will not be easy given the very high level of competition , but we will absolutely try. I've seen pictures and videos of last year. And ' right to define this race, " skyrunning true ." It is very technical , difficult to interpret and who may also strong start paying duty on the ups and downs before the swooping Limone.

Limone Extreme. True Skyrunning , therefore, in a tourist location with three days dedicated to the outdoor sports that gives a nod to the media. How important is this for the growth of the movement and athletes for you ?

It will be a very busy weekend for everyone. As for me , I will watch and I will support the others on  Friday, focusing only on the race on Sunday . So it will be easier for me , this year I have not done many Vertical Kilometer . For the public it will be a great opportunity to see many runners on high level and for us a showcase like no other. This type of racing attract many fans and excite the attention of the media and sponsors . I think there should be more races or weekend like this. For us and for the movement they are top. Ah , of course, in the future I promise to get to do both races . In this I have to improve myself , but this year has been hard and my body does not allow me to run two races in just two days .

At the start of the Vertical Kilometer SkyRace of Limone and all the big names of the season with a super favorite of obligation: Kilian Jornet. You think he is unbeatable or on these types of races you can still hope to get on the top step?

Just look at the results he has done this year (without removing merits to others, but only if we look at what he has done this season), we will realize that you can not beat him! I can not speak for the other athletes, I speak for myself ... I will try to give 100% of what I can. At Stava, that was not even two weeks that i was running from the starting line, the constant thougt was to make a good race battling from start to finish. The same thing I did at Mont Giir and I'll do the same thing in Limone. I'm going to give 100% of what I can at this point of the season. I think Kilian Jornet is the favorite, but I hope that Luis Alberto will give the best, also the Italian athletes who, this year, are on a really good level.
