Roberto Delorenzi from Switzerland repeated his success in 2022, while Antonio Martinez from Spain took third place but won the Cup.
Tiziano Moia and Jessica Pardin won the Vertical de la Mughéra, and Roberto Delorenzi and Sara Alonso took first place in the Limone Skyrunning Extreme event. With the results in hand, Matteo Lora and Mojka Koligar established themselves in the ISF (International Skyrunning Federation) VK OPEN Championship circuit ranking, of which the only-up race was the final. Antonio Martinez Perez and Clementine Geoffray became the new Skyrunning World Series champions. They were victorious thanks to the points gained in today's Skymasters race: a real challenge in the challenge that defined the cup rankings.
There were 605 athletes from 35 different nations who showed up for the double world final held on the trails bordering the Lombardy and Trentino regions: of these, 129 ran in the only-up race with a 1,160 elevation gain in just 3 very steep kilometers, while the remaining 476 competed in the 22.2 km (+2,052 elevation gain) Limone Skyrunning Extreme.
The striking location of Alto Garda and its highly technical trails were called upon for the 9th time in 12 editions to crown the king and queen of the season. For the fourth consecutive year, “Scarpa” was the main technical sponsor of the event.

In the women's category, Sara Alonso from Spain was the first to cross the finish line in Limone. However, Clementine Geoffray of France, placing 4th in today’s race, won the Skyrunner World Series.
For the 9th time in 12 editions, Limone was once again called upon to decree the strongest athletes of the season. At 11 a.m., 476 sky runners from 35 different nations set off from Lungolago Marconi to rewrite the world rankings after facing 22.22 very technical kilometers with an elevation gain of 2052 meters.
After the start, Roberto Delorenzi from Switzerland and Sara Alonso from Spain were leading the race at the first hilltop of Cima Mughéra. At Monte Carone, the GPM of the race (1621 meters above sea level), Delorenzi, already the winner here in 2022, saw the Spaniards Manuel Merillas and Antonio Martinez approaching at 1'40”. In the women's race, front-runner Sara Alonso had a 2' lead on Olivia Magnone and Corinna Ghirardi, who followed behind her.
During the descent, there were no upsets among the leaders of the race: Delorenzi gritted his teeth and closed the season with an impressive win. His finish time of 2h23'18" served to keep the Spaniards at bay: Manuel Merillas was the runner-up at 2h23'49" and Antonio Martinez took 3rd place at 2h25'18”. Olivero Esteban and Federic Tranchard completed the top five.
In the women's category, there was just one woman in the lead. Sara Alonso dominated the race and won with a finish time of 2h56'20”, leaving Karina Carsolio (3h00'40”) and Olivia Magnone (3h02'05”) trailing behind. Clementine Geoffray and Corinna Ghirardi followed.
The race records were also unbeaten in this case: 2h23'03” by Nadir Maguet and 2h55'23” by Denisa Dragomir.
