Spettacolo a Limone sul Garda per la prima finale dello Skyrunner® World Series. In palio i titoli 2013 di Vertical Kilometer su un tracciato tecnico, alpinistico e muscolare che in poco più di 3km di sviluppo proponeva un dislivello positivo di quasi 1100m. Il tutto nella inusuale versione “by night” con luce frontali accese e tantissimo pubblico con il naso all’insù in attesa dell’incerto verdetto.

Doveva essere battaglia e così è stato con il re delle vertical Urban Zemmer impegnato sino alla fine nel tenere dietro il norvegese Thorbjorn Ludvigsen. I due sono stati vicini sino alla fine, ma a spuntarla è stato l’altoatesino, stella del team La Sportiva, che ha vinto con il nuovo record della gara. Seconda piazza per l’alfiere del Team Salomon e gradino più basso del podio per l’altro atleta La Sportiva, Marco Moletto.

Al femminile posizioni subito delineate con la catalana Laura Orgué (Team Salomon Santiveri) che come Zemmer ha vinto gara e titolo mondiale a tempo di record. Alle sue spalle le azzurre di corsa in montagna Antonella Confortola (Forestale Roma) e Samantha Galassi (Recastello Radici).    

Alla luce dei risultati odierni, nel ranking di Coppa, i re delle Vertical 2013 sono Urban Zemmer  e Laura Orgue', medaglia d’argento al collo di Marco Facchinelli e Vanesa Ortega, mentre il bronzo è andato a Marco Moletto e Hill Tessa.   

Messo in archivio il Vertical Kilometer, domenica Limone sul Garda e il comprensorio di Ledro e Riva torneranno grandi protagonisti con la seconda finalissima. Il titolo per la specialità SkyRace vedrà ancora una volta il gotha mondiale della specialità e tanti amatori (già oltre 400 gli atleti sin ora accreditati) sui 23,5 chilometri della SkyRace. In palio non solo il titolo iridato 2013, ma la consapevolezza di essere il numero uno al mondo.

Entertainment in Limone sul Garda for the first final of the Skyrunner ® World Series. Up for grabs the titles in 2013 of Vertical Kilometer on a technical track, alpinistic and muscular in just over 3km of development proposed an elevation gain of almost 1100m. All in the unusual version "by night" with front light lit and a large public with the nose of the uncertain pending verdict.  It had to be the battle and so it was with the king of the vertical Urban Zemmer committed to the end in keeping behind the Norwegian Thorbjorn Ludvigsen.

The two have been close to the end, but the winner was the South Tyrolean, star of the La Sportiva team, who won the race with a new record. Second place for the standard bearer of Team Salomon and the lowest step of the podium for the other athlete from La Sportiva, Marco Moletto.  In the women's positions outlined immediately with the Catalan Laura Orgue (Team Salomon Santiveri) and as Zemmer she won race and the world title in record time. Behind her the blue mountain running star Antonella Confortola (Forestry Rome) and Samantha Galassi (Recastello Roots). 

In light of today's results, in the ranking in the Cup 2013 are the kings of the Vertical Urban Zemmer and Laura Orgue ', the silver medal around the necks of Mark Facchinelli and Vanesa Ortega, while the bronze went to Marco Moletto and Tessa Hill.  Placed on file the Vertical Kilometer, on Sunday in  Limone sul Garda and the district of Ledro and Riva great protagonists will return with the second final.
