Lanusei diventa  la nuova “capitale” della manifestazione sportiva che si disputerà dal 9 all’11 maggio 2014...

E’ il paese culturalmente più importante dell’Ogliastra che vanta, infatti, un patrimonio archeologico di rilievo come il nuraghe Seleni, le bellissime Tombe dei Giganti nel sito naturalistico ed archeologico del Bosco Selene, oltre alla ricca presenza di centri culturali tra cui l'Osservatorio Astronomico "F. Caliumi" situato sulla cima del Monte Armida, la cattedrale di Maria Maddalena, eretta nel 1927 ed il Santuario Madonna d’Ogliastra.

Lanusei, nella sua  posizione centrale e dominante sulla vallata fino alla costa, è rinomato anche per la gradevolezza e freschezza del suo clima, soprattutto per la presenza a pochi chilometri dal centro del paese del Bosco Selene, meta di numerosi turisti, le cui sorgenti possiedono acque con qualità curative, e una ricca varietà di animali quali cinghiali, volpi, colombacci, rapaci, ecc. Pochi minuti d'auto permettono di raggiungere le spiagge ogliastrine, le montagne del Gennargentu, i laghi, i fiumi e le grotte presenti nel territorio.

Nuovi scenari, dunque, andranno ad arricchire l’edizone 2014, con una tappa tutta a picco sul mare lungo la costa di Tertenia, Gairo e Cardedu dove numerose spiagge si alternano a calette mozzafiato, faraglioni e scogli di vari colori e natura rocciosa, il tutto contornato da belle pinete e rigogliosa macchia mediterranea. Due invece saranno previste nei territori di Lanusei ed Arzana.

Il Gennargentu sarà ancora il protagosnista indiscusso del Sardinia Trail con l’ascesa a Punta La Marmora, la vetta più elevata dell’isola con i suoi 1834m.

A breve saranno svelati i nuovi percorsi per una sfida sempre più avvincente che vedrà la partecipazione di atleti provenienti dal Portogallo, Belgio, Lussemburgo, Francia, Germania, ed altre ancora oltrechè dalla Sardegna e da altre regioni italiane.

A great news for the 3rd edition of Sardinia Trail. Lanusei becomes the new "capital" of the sporting event which will be held from 9 to 11 May 2014. It’s the most cultural city of the Ogliastra for its important archaeological heritage  as the nuraghe Seleni, the beautiful  Tombs of the Giants in the natural and archaeological site of the Forest Selene and for the cultural centers as the Astronomical Observatory "F. Caliumi" located on top of Mount Armida, Maria Maddalena’s Cathedral , built in 1927, and  the Sanctuary of Madonna d’Ogliastra.Lanusei, in its central position overlooking the valley to the coast, is also renowned for its pleasant and cool climate. A few kilometers from the town center there is the Forest Selene, a destination of many tourists, the sources of which have water with healing qualities, and there is a rich variety of animals such as wild boars, foxes, wood pigeons, birds of prey, etc.. In just a few minutes away by car you can reach the beaches of Ogliastra, the mountains of Gennargentu, lakes, rivers and caves in the area.

 

New scenarios for the edition 2014 with a stage along the coast of Tertenia, Gairo and Cardedu where many beaches are interspersed with stunning coves, cliffs and rocks of various colors and rocky nature, beautiful pine forests and lush Mediterranean vegetation. The other 2 stages will be provided in the areas of Lanusei and Arzana.
The Gennargentu will still be the undisputed protagonist of Sardinia Trail with the rise in Punta La Marmora, the highest peak of the island with its 1834 m.
Soon we will unveil the new paths for a more compelling challenge where there will be the partecipation of athletes from Portugal, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Germany and other ones, then from Sardinia and other italian regions.
